Divide the Ride has launched CarLine Manager
CarLine Manager is a web-based tool designed to help schools and parents work together to make the afterschool pickup process safe and better organized. The program is easy for both parents and schools to operate and, just like Divide the Ride, is being offered as a free service.
Most importantly, CarLine Manager works to improve child safety during afternoon dismissal by putting car assignment responsibility back on the parent… where it belongs (no more lost notes, forgotten phone calls or unexpected drivers).
How it Works
Parents securely log in to the CarLine Manager website specific to their child’s school and note any changes that grant other parents, friends or relatives permission to pick up their children with just a couple of clicks.
This schedule and all other necessary information are then sent directly to the school each day just prior to dismissal via email.
Last minute changes are easy to make and are sent electronically, eliminating last minute scrambles for parents and school staff.
CarLine Manager automatically updates car line assignments to school administrators in order to keep track of every child.
Additionally, if any changes are made to the school's schedule on short notice, School administrators can use CarLine Manager to notify parents so they can make necessary accommodations.
Reduce Traffic
Using Divide the Ride in coordination with CarLine Manager will serve to reduce the amount of traffic during afternoon dismissals by encouraging families to carpool. This reduces the number of cars in line and saves parents both time and money.
